There has been too much activity in Commanders training this low season and has led to penalties for head coach Ron Rivera and the team.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano reports that Rivera has been fined $ 100,000 due to excessive contact in practice exercises this off-season. If the size of this fine sounds familiar to you, it’s likely to be the same amount that Rivera fined defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio for a tweet that called the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol “dusty.”
The team has also been stripped of two OTA workouts next low season.
Rivera and the team have company in these penalties. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy was fined and the Cowboys were stripped of a future OTA practice this week for similar infractions.
