Rudy Giuliani was slapped by a ShopRite worker on Staten Island on Sunday while campaigning for his son, and shocked the 78-year-old former mayor of New York City, the former pole said. To The Post.
Giuliani said he had just left the men’s room at the Veteran’s Road store and was being greeted by a group of fans when he was suddenly hit in the back, an incident captured in the surveillance video obtained by The Post.
“Suddenly, I hear this, ‘Bam!’ on his back, “Giuliani said. “I don’t know if they helped me not to fall, but I almost fell, but I didn’t.
“I feel that tremendous pain in my back and I’m thinking, what … I didn’t even know what it was,” he said. “Suddenly, I hear this guy say,‘ You’re a bastard, ’and then he walks away so no one can catch him.
“And he says,‘ You, you’re one of the people who will kill women. You will kill women, “Giuliani said, quoting the suspect, who now faces charges of assault.” “You and your fucking friend will kill women.” Then she starts yelling all sorts of, just curses, and every now and then, she puts on that woman thing.
“You think you’re saving babies, but you’re going to kill women,” the worker continued to infuriate, according to Giuliani, also a lawyer for former President Donald Trump.
It looks like a video capture shows Giuliani slapping his back on ShopRite.
The incident came two days after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe’s 1973 abortion ruling against Wade.
“The Supreme Court made a decision,” Giuliani said. “You’re not attacking people for that. I mean, go change it.”
The former mayor told the ABC that the slap felt like “someone shot me” and, “luckily, I’m a 78-year-old person who is in very good shape.

The former federal prosecutor told The Post that he believed it was his duty to call the police, comparing the decision to his harsh anti-crime policies as mayor.
“I say to myself,‘ You know something? I have to get this guy arrested, ”he said.“ I talk about the “broken windows” theory all the time. You can’t let go of the little things.
“I tell myself,‘ I’m going to arrest this guy as an example that you can’t do this. And I said, too, in New York, we don’t prosecute people anymore and one of the reasons I reduced crime is that I didn’t ignore things like that. “
His son, gubernatorial candidate Andrew Giuliani, said his father was “hard as nails.”
Giuliani reportedly told his son he was “feeling good” after the attack.
“It’s okay,” Andrew said. “But it’s a sad day when New Yorkers’ best crime fighter, ‘America’s Mayor,’ is attacked. I blame the left for fomenting violence. That’s crazy.”
He said his father was in a good mood and even jokingly said, “I’ve come across the only person who doesn’t vote for Andrew Giuliani.”

Witness Rita Rugova-Johnson told The Post she was “surprised” to see the attack.
“I was shoulder to shoulder with Rudy inside ShopRite,” Rugova-Johnson said. “We’re talking and all of a sudden an employee came out of nowhere and slapped him on the back with open hands and said, ‘Hey, what’s wrong with you, kid?’

Sources said police arrested the assailant at the store.
The suspect, a 39-year-old man from Staten Island, will be charged with second-degree assault on a person over 65, police sources said. The man has no previous arrests, according to sources.
Police were called to the supermarket shortly before 3:30 p.m., according to sources.
Young Giuliani is seeking the Republican nomination as governor of New York, running in the primaries against Long Island MP Lee Zeldin, former Westchester County executive Rob Astorino and businessman Harry Wilson.
“Rudy was assaulted,” his WABC radio partner, Dr. Maria Ryan, told The Post. “He’s a 78-year-old man with back pain and bad knees.”
