Rumor: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games of July 2022 were leaked prematurely

The list of PS Plus games for July 2022 seems to have been leaked before the official revelation, which will take place on Wednesday. The leak comes once again from Dealabs, with user billbil kun having posted numerous PS Plus updates in the past. As such, there is very little reason to doubt this latest leak.

According to the aforementioned publication, the PS Plus Essential games of July 2022 are as follows:

Crash Bandicoot 4 is probably the main event here: a continuation of the classic platformer series that was released in 2020 for PS4 and brought to PS5 in 2021.

However, it is the horror title you choose, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan that is bound to stir the conversation. This is because Man of Medan is now available through PS Plus Extra, one of the new PS Plus subscription levels that have just been released. This is another example of the overlay of Sony services, which we saw several times on PS Now, before it folded into the revised PS Plus.

And finally, Arcadegeddon is a colorful multiplayer shooting game, which will be released on July 5, also the day these PS Plus games will be available for download. Online multiplayer titles have become a staple of PS Plus for the past six months or so. Being on PS Plus offers these games a chance to reach a wider audience, but it’s safe to say that not everyone is a fan of this strategy.
