The sheep star revealed that things accidentally became violent when he was filming a scene with a very famous co-star in one of his films.
Veteran actor Denzel Washington is being beaten like a pro, Ryan Reynolds has revealed.
The 45-year-old Canadian actor accidentally gave Washington, 67, two nasty black eyes during the shooting of his 2012 action film. Safe House.
Reynolds talked about what happened a decade ago in a talk with David Letterman for the Netflix series, My next guest needs no introduction with David Letterman.
He Proposal The star and Oscar winner were filming a sequence of car fights in Cape Town, South Africa, when the incident occurred.
He told Letterman, 75, that it was only the second day of filming when the actors were fighting “in a car out of control” where he was supposed to “crush” Washington in the “face.”
“There’s a scene in the movie where he crawls through the trunk in the back and grabs me and drowns me. We were really driving a car at full speed,” Reynolds said, recalling that the drivers of ‘acrobatics were not being used to represent the scenes.
He added: “He and I are in this car out of control and my corner of my head: I felt it hit his eye so hard I was sure it had broken.”
He Deadpool The actor feared for his life and jokingly assumed he would be fired and even killed for causing pain in Washington.
Reynolds noted, “I’m thinking they’ll send me home through a crematorium, like now, that’s all, not just my career, but my real pulse will cease.”
But Washington was classy about it and politely told Reynolds it was okay. “It was okay,” he said, “Hey, accidents happen. We’re going to do it again and shoot it from the other side so we can keep shooting so you don’t see it, ”Reynolds said.
The whole set looked good and elegant after the crash, but the second shot turned out to be just as hard, and Reynolds placed Washington in the other eyeball.
“We did it again and I had the other eye, Dave,” Reynolds told the host of the night. “For a minute, it looked like a Christmas ornament.”
Safe House told the story of Matt Weston (Reynolds), a low-ranking CIA officer who resides in Cape Town where he keeps a safe while the CIA interrogates veteran agent Tobin Frost (Washington). The two men flee after mercenaries are hired to eliminate them.
