Sadio Mané proved to be a classy act by consoling his teammates after Liverpool lost the Champions League final to Real Madrid on Saturday night. The Reds entered the match as favorites to win the trophy. But that didn’t happen, with Vinicius Jr’s goal enough for Carlo Ancelotti’s team to reign supreme.
Liverpool were beaten 1-0 by Real Madrid on Saturday night, with Vinicius Jr’s goal in the 59th minute enough to give him the trophy.
Mane was brilliant in stages, but in the end the Liverpool star was unable to score.
And, after the game, he proved to be a classy act by consoling his teammates on the field.
Mane was shot as he approached Virgil van Dijk, who was on his knees and looked down after the competition at the Stade de France.
And the former Southampton striker also consoled a devastated Fabinho.
Mane has been linked with a move away from Liverpool and, speaking before the final, was shy about his future.
