Across two floors of a huge pop-up store in Piccadilly Circus in the heart of London, Samsung is showing off its new flip phones and accessories against a backdrop of flashing lights, mirrors and screens. It is a space and an experience aimed at the generation of selfies.
Phones are impressive pieces of technology. The largest, the Fold4, opens to create a larger, wrinkle-free screen like a tablet. Holding its shape like a piece of metal, you can bend it into the shape you need, for example to make video calls without the need for a tripod or stand, and then close it to a traditional phone.
