Samsung’s next foldable phones could arrive in less than a month, and the Galaxy Buds Pro 2 even sooner, because Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event has been confirmed on August 10, 2022, starting at 2 p.m. : 00 BST and can be played on Samsung’s YouTube channel and website (opens in new tab).
Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2022 comes almost a year from last year’s day, which was held on August 11, 2021. This event launched the Samsung Z Fold 3 and the Z Flip 3, so we shall see the successors of these. at this year’s Galaxy Unpacked.
Last year’s event was also announced on July 20, so official invitations now make a lot of sense. Although the event will be broadcast, you can be sure that in What Hi-Fi? will deliver you all the most recent and important announcements of the event, as it happens.
Both devices are expected to be minor but still important updates over their predecessors. The Flip 4 should have a larger battery and a less noticeable screen fold, while the Z Fold 4 will have camera upgrades and a different aspect ratio for the screen.
And what about the Galaxy Buds Pro 2? According to tech commentator Max Jambor (opens in a new tab), they will be released before Unpacked, although no specific date is given. There’s also no word on what to expect: the unofficial renders (opens in a new tab) show a design similar to the Galaxy Buds Pro, with the main difference being a new purple finish. Hopefully the interior has received more updates.
