With San Diego Comic-Con back live and in person this year, there was one thing you could count on: Marvel would bring it with the announcements. And while much of what Kevin Feige and his team had to offer had already been leaked or otherwise released to the world, there was still room for surprises and plenty of excitement.
Punctuated by a look at She-Hulk: Attorney At Law (more on that here) and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (read all about it here), the panel was light-hearted, fueled by Feige’s enthusiasm and what he had to show. crowd
Split between panels dedicated to upcoming films with cast and crew present and big reveals for the future, Feige began by talking about Phase 4 (aka the one we’re in now) and how he’ll end She-Hulk and Wakanda by always.
That means Phase 5 is right around the corner, and Feige outlined what it entails: Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania (February 17, 2023), Secret Invasion (Spring 2023 on Disney+), Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 5, 2023), Hawkeye spin-off Echo (Summer 2023 on Disney+), Loki Season 2 (Summer 2023), The Marvels (July 28, 2023), Ironheart (Fall 2023 on Disney+), Blade (November 3, 2023) , WandaVision spin-off Agatha: Coven Of Chaos (Winter 2023/2024 on Disney+), Daredevil: Born Again (Spring 2024 on Disney+), Captain America: New World Order (May 23, 2024 ) and Thunderbolts (July 28, 2024).
Secret Invasion’s Maria Hill, aka Cobie Smulders, took to the stage to talk about the darker thriller show, which will see Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos battle a faction of shifty Skrulls that have infiltrated Earth for years.
Quantumania director Peyton Reed brought Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lily, Jonathan “Kang” Majors, Kathryn Newton and a few images to Hall H. Promising more madness from the Quantum Realm and new threats from the master of the Multiverse Kang the Conqueror.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’s James Gunn, meanwhile, brought even more cast (Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Will Poulter and Maria Bakalova) and his own footage, full of all the heart and hilarity you’d expect of the franchise.
The new film will explore the tragic past of Rocket (Bradley Cooper), find Gamora (Zoe Saldana) with the Ravagers and Groot all grown up.
We’ve learned some new casting details, including that Bakalova is playing Cosmo The Space Dog and that Peacemaker’s Chukwudi Iwuji is the High Evolutionary villain. Iwuji even turned up in costume to confirm his role…

One more thing to mention: The new Daredevil series, subtitled Born Again and starring Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio once again, will run for 18 episodes.
The more distant future of the MCU was also discussed, including Phase 6. Not much is known about most of it yet, but three big flags were planted: The Fantastic Four, which will begin filming next year it’s finally coming to theaters next day. November 8, 2024.
And Phase 6 is scheduled to end in 2025 with two new Avengers movies: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, out on May 2, 2025, and Avengers: Secret Wars on November 7, 2026. Finally, since the Phases 1-3 were The Infinity Saga, so 4-6 represent The Multiverse Saga. Okay, so we could have predicted this given everything in Phase 4 so far, but it’s nice to have it confirmed.
Marvel will likely offer more details about the future at Disney’s big D23 event next September, but for now it’s fair to say the company put on its usual performance at Comic-Con.
