Sean Marks and Rob Pelinka are seen talking as Kyrie Irving’s commercial rumors move

The last week has seen all sorts of Kyrie Irving change rumors, most of which have connected him, general manager Sean Marks and the Brooklyn Nets with the only team that seems to have interest: the Los Angeles Lakers.

There have been reports that the Lakers thought an agreement had almost been made last weekend, saying the two sides could connect the San Antonio Spurs to a complicated, multi-team deal, and whispers of disagreement with brain confidence of the Lakers about whether or not. Irving is the team’s best target. Everything is pending for the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, with Russell Westbrook and LeBron James watching from opposite sides of the arena Friday night as fans shouted for general manager Rob Pelinka to exchange his own base displeased with that of Brooklyn.

So in this context, and a report by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski during Friday’s broadcast that “the Nets and Lakers aren’t really engaged right now with Kyrie Irving,” it’s notable that Pelinka and Marks were captured. with what appeared to be quite attractive. conversation alongside Woj himself during Saturday afternoon matches.

Prior to this conversation, however, Marc Stein was the last to report that we should not necessarily hold our breath for an impending Irving trade (via Substack):

League sources maintain that the Nets are A) focused on trying to put together a pleasant Kevin Durant business before proceeding to the Irving scenarios and B) firm in their resistance to recovering Westbrook in a theoretical Irving exchange without, for start, some first round draft. compensation added by the Lakers. Remember Westbrook will earn nearly $ 11 million more than Irving next season, which would cost Brooklyn an additional $ 50 million once the luxury tax penalties are considered, according to an article earlier this week by my partner of Bleacher Report, Jake Fischer.

So, with all that said … What do you think Pelinka and Marks were arguing about? I guess your favorite frozen yogurt points, but I’m sure all experienced lip readers will have some more creative ideas in the comments below.
