The return of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Britain has so far been extremely discreet. Invited by the queen to join the family for the platinum jubilee celebrations, the couple will never be on the balcony for the official step after getting the color. However, they were invited to watch the ceremony, along with other members of the royal family, from the offices overlooking the Horse Guard parade.
But for the efforts of the long-range photographers who managed to capture through the window grainy photographs of the two briefly around with the young children of Zara and Mike Tindall, there was little evidence that they were even present.
St. Paul’s Cathedral would always be the event of his first public engagement with other family members since they left the royal functions and the United Kingdom. It could have resonated from the last time Harry and Meghan met William and Kate, when the couple barely recognized each other in Commonwealth Day service in March 2020.

But the aides seemed to have avoided any comparison by sitting the Sussex away from the Cambridge and, in fact, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. His place in the second row, behind the Wessex and separated from the tallest members of the royal family by an aisle, was indicative of his reduced official status as non-working members of the royal family, despite the bloodline of and Harry.

The couple also did not attend a reception at the Guildhall after the Thanksgiving service.
Staying at Frogmore Cottage, Windsor, their first marriage home, they are a stone’s throw from the Queen at Windsor Castle.
It is speculated that Harry and Meghan may choose to have their daughter Lilibet, who turns one on Saturday, baptized while in Windsor.
