A dozen sex enhancement products have been confiscated at a Barton Street East variety store because of the potential dangers they pose to consumers.
Health Canada issued a press release and warned on Tuesday morning about unauthorized health products being sold at the Big Bee Convenience & Food Mart at 800 Barton St. E., near Lottridge Street, in Hamilton, and in British Columbia stores that say “it can be serious.” health risks ”.
Potentially dangerous products include 777K, Plus Imperial Love 22000, Rhino 7 Platinum 5000, Spanish Fly 20,000, Stiff Rox, Super Panther 7K, Twin Rhino 69 Power 500K +, VIP Go Rhino, Platinum Rhino Love 2000, Premier Love Platinum, Rhino270 Platinum, 5000 and Twin Rhino 69 Power 500K +.
All 12 products contain unauthorized drugs iohimbe, tadalafil and sildenafil, which should only be taken after consulting a healthcare professional.
Yohimbe is a prescription drug that could have serious side effects and reactions, especially in people with high blood pressure or heart, kidney or liver disease.
Prescription erectile dysfunction medications, tadalafil, sold in Canada as the Cialis brand, and sildenafil, sold under the Viagara brand, can cause life-threatening low blood pressure if mixed with any type of nitrate drug. In addition, both have a number of side effects and can be dangerous for people with heart problems.
Customers should stop taking unauthorized products immediately, Health Canada warns, and anyone with health problems should contact a medical professional.
The government statement said residents should only use drugs authorized by Health Canada.
The public notice warns that unauthorized health products may also contain ingredients that are not listed on the label and may contain a potentially dangerous combination of ingredients.
