Seven people have been arrested during an orange parade in Glasgow.
Officers say they made several arrests and issued 12 notices of fixed penalties for alleged violations of the peace and anti-social behavior as thousands marched in the city on Saturday.
Police thanked the majority of the crowd for “behaving responsibly” and added that police were appropriate for the event.
Chief Superintendent Stevie Dolan said: “Glasgow officers made a total of seven arrests and issued 12 notices of fixed penalties during the Orange Order processions on Saturday 2 July 2022, the crimes went be mainly for violation of peace and antisocial acts.
“There was a police plan provided and we worked with a number of partners to ensure public safety and reduce disruptions to the community at large.
“I would like to thank the vast majority of participants and the community at large, who have been positively involved and behaved responsibly.”
