Several 4th graders ran over a car outside the UBC Botanical Garden

Three primary school students were injured after a car left the road outside the UBC Botanical Garden on Wednesday.

The University RCMP detachment said 4th graders were on a field trip to the garden when they were hit by the vehicle.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“The three students, who are believed to be about nine or 10 years old, were taken to the Children’s Hospital,” the RCMP said in a press release. “Their families have been notified.”

The driver remained at the scene and has cooperated with investigators, authorities said.

So far, researchers do not believe that poisoning was a factor in the accident.

The University RCMP asked anyone with information about what happened to contact the detachment at 604-224-1322.
