Singles winner David Garayeli has beaten his ex Brooke Blurton in a startling Instagram diatribe.
The couple separated just a month after the end of the 2021 Bachelorette series, and it is clear that no love is lost among the old flames.
During a question and answer on Instagram with his followers, David was asked if he was still a friend of Brooke.
“It’s a no-brainer on my part,” he replied, adding a skull emoji.
The couple’s war of words began earlier this year, when Brooke, 27, claimed that David blinded her with a public announcement of her breakup to “humiliate” and “silence” her. .
Speaking to NITV’s The Point, Brooke expressed her disappointment that David had decided to announce that they had gone their separate ways without his intervention.
“Being in the public eye is already very difficult,” said Brooke, who first appeared in Nick Cummins’ season of The Bachelor.
“Facing criticism and trolls and getting out there in such a vulnerable place is already very difficult to navigate.
“Adding the layers and complexities of a very public relationship comes from a show that doesn’t have the highest success rate in terms of relationships that work. It’s a lot of pressure,” he said.
“I had no choice in any part of (the separation) being made public, but it did.
“I would rather not do it, I feel like it was just to humiliate me, to have one on me.
“I was silenced, I was helpless, I just had to deal with it,” he said.
Darvid replied at the time, “When will it end? That was never my intention … There is so much more in history that has not been shown.
“I was silent in the hope that it would go out slowly, incredibly confused about why it is crawling.”
