Fire on Lake Okanagan
There was a fire on Lake Okanagan this afternoon, on the shores of Rotary Beach on Lakeshore Road.
Castanet received news shortly after 4 p.m. that there was potentially a burning boat and dock.
At the scene, several spectators told Castanet that was not the case, and the Kelowna Fire Department later confirmed that a drum had somehow caught fire near the pier.
The fire department had its MR2 team ready, but it was canceled once the crew arrived by truck.
There were no injuries and people stayed on the beach enjoying the weather.
