A South West doctor has been charged with dozens of child sex offences, which allegedly took place over three years against four victims.
The 60-year-old is a general practitioner in the Southwest District, but Washington police say the alleged crimes were not committed while he was on the job.
The 38 alleged offenses include 18 offenses of sexual penetration of a child between the ages of 13 and 16 and 10 offenses of indecent treatment of children of the same age.
He has also been charged with three counts of attempting to obstruct the course of justice, three counts of recording a child between 13 and 16 years of age and one count of sexual penetration of a child under the age of 16 in his charge.
WA Police alleged the offenses happened in Busselton, Donnybrook, Halls Head and Wannanup between June 2019 and September 2022.
The accused is expected to appear in Perth Magistrates’ Court today.
