Stranger Things viewers have a common concern when season 4 begins

The fourth season of Stranger Things has just hit Netflix and fans have already begun to dive in, with many of them sharing a common observation. Watch the trailer here:

The popular sci-fi drama has returned to the bulk streaming platform, with seven new episodes ranging from 63 to 98 minutes long, and this is only the first volume of the new season.

So, with a lot of dishes to go through, fans of the show haven’t wasted their time getting stuck, and a lot of people have started pointing out the same thing.

Set in the 1980s, the show follows a group of schoolchildren as they explore supernatural events in the fictional city of Hawkins.

The first series premiered in 2016 and has been the best part of the three years since last season, largely on the Covid-19.

As such, the cast is now about six years older than they were at first, but on the show they are still school kids. In fact, in the first season, some of the stars were only 12; while now their ages range from 17 to 20 years.

Obviously, then, they’ve changed quite a bit, and fans need to further suspend their disbelief.

On Twitter, one person wrote, “How old are the kids from Stranger Things I’m supposed to have forgotten and now I like them. Aren’t these kids in high school?

Another said, “Why all these new Stranger Things characters who play high school students look like they’re in their 30s and 40s.”

A third added: “I watched a bit of Stranger Things before I went to bed and this season has really captured the ’80s feeling of all the high school students who looked 27 years old.”

Come on guys, you were fine with ‘The Upside Down’ and all that supernatural stuff, few crow’s feet to a high school student and all of a sudden it’s unbelievable.

Of course, the cast was also aware of this problem and they have tried to work on it as best they can.

In an interview with Today, 19-year-old Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson, said: “It’s something we’re always thinking about, but I think it’s something we’re working pretty well with.

“The characters are in a period of transition in their lives … it’s crazy to see how we were all when we started.”

Noah Schnapp, 17, who plays Will Byers, added: “I remember in the second season I was told to lower my voice. :” Can I. “Don’t do that, I’m not like that anymore.”

You can already see the first volume of the fourth season, with the second volume, consisting of two episodes of film, which will be released on July 1.
