If you’re an American and you love the idea of Mario being a proportionately accurate human man as he continues to watch as he does, I have great news for you.
Universal Studios Hollywood has announced on Twitter that Super Nintendo World will debut in its Hollywood park in 2023.

We know that just like in Japan, Super Nintendo World Hollywood will have Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, a fully interactive Mario Kart ride with virtual reality glasses for users to enhance the experience. The official Nintendo America announcement also includes a hint of what’s to come:
The immersive terrain will be a visual spectacle of vibrant colors and architectural ingenuity located within a recently enlarged area of the theme park, with an innovative route and interactive areas, for the whole family to enjoy. Themed shopping and dinners will enhance the whole experience.
So far, the only Super Nintendo World is at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka. However, there are currently three other locations that will have their own Super Nintendo World. Universal Studios Singapore is getting one, Universal Orlando Resort in Florida was supposed to get its own in 2023, but that was delayed until 2025 and then, of course, Hollywood.
The delay in Florida means that Hollywood will be the first place in the United States to get a Super Nintendo World attraction. In preparation for the introduction of Super Nintendo World, the park will also have Nintendo products to buy. Even if you still can’t play with large versions of the monsters you see in the moving picture box, don’t be afraid, as you can still consume it in the meantime.
While all is well, there’s something unsettling about Mario’s pet costume. Her legs are … so long. He is the size of a normal boy. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Super Mario Odyssey, it’s that Mario is a short king and looks alarmingly different from the normal people of New Donk City. While the latter has not changed, the former … is being challenged. And I’m not happy about that.
Mario is the short representation of the king that has remained constant since its introduction to the world all these years ago. I hate that for his Super Nintendo World debut, his legs are so long. Where is Mario’s call for historical accuracy?
