Susanna Reid was absent from Good Morning Britain on Thursday after announcing she is taking an extended break over the summer.
The 51-year-old woman told viewers on Wednesday that she would take a break and that Ben Shephard, Charlotte Hawkins, Kate Garraway and Ranvir Singh would take turns to cover her.
Susanna looked amazing at the show in a stunning red dress that had floating sleeves and a belt at the waist.

Co-star Richard Madeley, 66, has also said he will take a few months off this summer despite becoming one of the top presenters to replace Piers Morgan, 57.
He recently said, “Since Piers left, as you know, his chair has been a kind of revolving concert and all sorts of presenters have come and done it.
“It’s true that lately I’ve climbed to the top of this pile I guess. But I don’t know for how long, as I have a pretty short contract.

‘I don’t know what will happen. I have a pretty important break in the summer, I go to France and then I’ll be back quite a bit in the fall.
“But as for next year I have no idea and that’s fine for me. I’m not chasing him, you know.
“If they turn around and say, ‘We’re relaunching the show and thanks Richard for all the fish, but we’ll use it so and so,’ that would be fine for me.”
Last month, Susanna revealed that it was hard for her to change the weight she put on during the coronavirus blockade.
The TV presenter previously admitted to having suffered a “blockage drop” that saw her gain a few pounds while the gyms were closed and the country was trapped at home.

Speaking to Joe Wicks of Body Coach, he said, “Obviously, during confinement, you basically did national service for all of us by keeping us all in shape.
“The fact is that confinement has had a massive impact on people.”
“Despite all this, and the fact that we could get in shape online, we are facing a growing obesity crisis.”
“I found it very difficult to change those pounds. What’s the problem when there are so many workout plans, so many nutrition plans, what’s the reason for that?”

Joe responded, “People gained weight because people were less active, but it’s really a mental health crisis that we have on our hands.
“Obviously, when we’re stressed and feeling depressed, we turn to food – to watch a movie and eat a chocolate bar and a bag of chips.
You have to try to inspire people to move and be active for their mental health. If you move your body, your mind will change and the transformation will come. ‘
Interview: Speaking to Joe Wicks on Good Morning Britain, Susanna praised the health guru, 36, for helping keep the nation in shape during confinement.
