STUDIO CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) – A man accused of shooting and seriously injuring a California Highway Patrol officer during a traffic stop in Studio City has been arrested, authorities announced on Tuesday.
Pejhmaun Iraj Khosroabadi, 33, was considered armed and dangerous before being found hiding inside a tent on Gloria Avenue in Van Nuys.

The California Highway Patrol on Tuesday identified a suspected suspect who is accused of shooting and seriously injuring an officer during a traffic stop in Studio City.
Authorities said Pejhmaun Iraj Khosroabadi, 33, should be considered armed and dangerous. The search for him began shortly before 8pm on Monday when an officer attempted to make a traffic stop at the intersection of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Landale Street, according to the CHP.
Witnesses told ABC7 that the driver initially refused to stop. Eventually, the driver and officer entered the parking lot of Campbell Hall Episcopal, a private K-12 school.
The driver got out of the car and there was a physical altercation. It was then that authorities said the suspect pulled out a gun and fired several rounds, hitting the officer several times, before fleeing the scene.
Shortly after the shooting, a large police presence surrounded an apartment complex in the area of Saticoy Street and Van Nuys Haskell Avenue, where the shooter was believed to be barricaded.
A car was found near the apartment complex that matched the suspect’s vehicle description.
The video of the scene captured loud booms as SWAT agents tried to remove the suspect from the apartment complex. Finally, authorities said the suspect was not located, but believe he is still in the area.
Meanwhile, the injured officer was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment.
Khosroabadi, who has brown hair and brown eyes, was last seen wearing a long-sleeved T-shirt and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
