Suspected gunman among three people killed after shooting in Vancouver, Canada

Three people, including the suspected gunman, have died after a series of shootings in a Vancouver suburb, Canadian police say.

Most of the attacks took place in the city of Langley, while another shooting took place in neighboring Langley Township.

A total of four people were shot, including, it appears, a woman who was left in critical condition.

British Columbia officers said the shootings involved “transient victims.” Some reports said homeless people had been shot.

The public was urged to stay away from several areas, including a casino parking lot and a bus stop.

Police said they responded to “multiple reports of shots fired with multiple victims and multiple different scenes throughout the city of Langley, and one scene in Langley Township.”

Earlier, it was announced that a man was in custody following the attacks.

In an alert sent to local residents, officers said the suspect was described as a white male wearing overalls and a camouflage shirt.

The Globe and Mail reported that yellow police tape surrounded a sandwich shop and parking lot in Langley at the scene of one of the shootings.

A black tent, believed to be for forensic work, was erected over one of the crime scenes.

Nearby, the windshield and driver’s window of an unmarked black police SUV were riddled with bullet holes near a Langley Center store.

A white car was next to the forensics tent, a short distance from the black SUV.

Nearby, orange cones surrounded a blue sleeping bag and a bicycle, while a pair of shoes and a piece of clothing were taped to the middle of the street.
