Goldstein’s comments come as Ted Lasso is currently in production in its third and apparently last season.
The show, which premiered in August 2020, was developed by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt and Joe Kelly. Since its premiere, the show has not only attracted a dedicated fan base, but has also received a lot of love from critics.
Ted Lasso has won seven Prime Time Emmys and two Golden Globes, and has been nominated for dozens of awards over its two seasons.
Despite the enthusiastic reviews and the passionate response from the fans, Sudeikis has also hinted that the third season could be the end. Before Goldstein dropped his Ted Lasso bomb the Timesaid Sudeikis Entertainment Weekly in June 2021 who saw the show as a “three-season arc.”

The first two seasons of Ted Lasso are now streaming on Apple TV +. The third season is expected to premiere later this year.
