Kaitlin Armstrong, the Texas woman accused of murdering the love triangle of one of the country’s most important gravel cyclists, had her sister’s passport in her possession when law enforcement found her Wednesday in an idyllic beach in Costa Rica.
Armstrong, 34, is accused of shooting Anna Moriah “Mo” Wilson, a 25-year-old professional cyclist who had a romantic affair with Armstrong’s boyfriend, Colin Strickland. Like Wilson, Strickland, 35, is also a cycling professional. He has declined several requests for comment.
Moments after Strickland left Wilson at his friend’s Austin apartment after a night away from home on May 11, Armstrong’s SUV appeared in a neighbor’s surveillance video, according to an order of arrest. Authorities later said they found Wilson inside with multiple gunshot wounds and worn carcasses fired with a handgun, which police later recovered at the house Armstrong shared with Strickland.
The alleged killer spent 43 days in the ocean before authorities tracked her down to a hostel in the Pacific Ocean.

Authorities captured the alleged bandit from Botox, also a yoga teacher, last week at a hostel next to Santa Teresa Beach, an isolated shelter for surfers, yogis and backpacks.
According to images obtained by Inside Edition, which sent a news team to Costa Rica after the bust, he arrived with two passports: his and his sister’s. The documents were left in a closet after his arrest.
