Victims of a mass shooting at a Texas elementary school include a “loving 10-year-old boy” and an “adventurous” teacher who was an attentive mother and wife.
Uvalde officials on Wednesday notified all families who lost loved ones in Tuesday’s murder of 19 children and two teachers, CNN reports.
These numbers may change as authorities provide updates, but what is known so far is that the victims were in the same 4th grade classroom at Robb Elementary School.
Details about the victims are beginning to emerge. Here is what we know so far.

“I don’t say that just because he was my grandson,” Renfro told The Associated Press about the eight-year-old boy who was among those killed.

Renfro last saw Uziyah in San Angelo, Texas during the spring break.
“We started throwing football together and he was teaching him passing patterns – a kid so fast and he could catch a ball so well,” he said.
“There were certain works that I would call that he would remember and that he would do exactly as we practiced.”

This was an update to a post he posted hours earlier, asking for help finding his daughter.
“I don’t ask for much or almost or hang here, but please it’s been 7 hours and I still haven’t heard anything about my love,” he said.
“Please help me find my daughter.”

Ellie Garcia “was a doll and was the happiest ever,” her father Steven Garcia posted on Facebook.

“I was going to DJ for her at her party the way she wanted me too,” Garcia said of her 10-year-old daughter.
Photos shared in her feed show a young girl who loved basketball and church.
Ellie’s mother, Jennifer Lugo, wrote several posts on Tuesday asking about her daughter’s safety and helping to find her. He then reported that his heart was shattered “in pieces,” presumably after Ellie’s death was confirmed.
“I love you baby, I’ll never stop thinking about you !!!” she wrote.

Luevanos wrote on Wednesday on Facebook that he had a “broken heart.” Jaliah’s cousin also died in the shooting.
“My heart is broken. Baby, I love you so much, mothers, never forget to watch over me, my father, your sisters and my older brother,” she wrote.

His mother and wife, 44, were educators for 17 years who enjoyed running and hiking.
“She was adventurous. I would definitely say these wonderful things about her,” said Amber Ybarra, a 34-year-old relative from San Antonio.
“I will definitely miss her.”

Mireles’ daughter Adalynn posted a tribute to her mother on Twitter on Wednesday.
“I will take care of our dogs and say your name forever so that you will always be remembered, Eva Mireles, a 4th grade teacher at Robb Elementary who selflessly jumped in front of her students to save their lives,” she wrote.
“My heart will be broken forever. My best friend, my twin was taken out of me. Thank you for loving me in the best way and for educating me to be so strong.”

Mireles has been co-teaching with Irma Garcia for five years, the school’s website adds.

Irma Garcia was a mother of four and had been married to her husband for 24 years, Robb Elementary said on its website.
His son, Christian, has confirmed his death, NBC reports.

Garcia was in his 23rd year of teaching, all of them at Robb Elementary.
She loved having a barbecue with her husband, listening to music, and doing country cruises in Concan, Texas.
Xavier Javier López was a “loving 10-year-old boy, just enjoying life,” his cousin Lisa Garza told The Associated Press.

Garza said Xavier was looking forward to a summer of swimming.
“He was very cheerful, he loved to dance with his siblings, his mother,” he said.
“This has just taken its toll on all of us.”

Images of smiling children with their families asking for information have been posted on social media.
Classes at Robb Elementary had ended during the year and each school day had a theme. Tuesday was Footloose and Fancy. Students had to wear a nice dress with fun or stylish shoes.
Several children survived the shooting but were injured, a Texas public safety official said Wednesday.
“We know there were several children who survived, who were injured. I don’t have the exact number at this time,” Lt. Chris Olivarez said in an interview with Fox News.

Three children and an adult were being treated at a San Antonio hospital, where two of them, a 66-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl, were in serious condition.
More information about the victims is expected to come out as the investigation unfolds.
