The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R has been unveiled

Ford has just unveiled its craziest model so far.

The Blue Oval took off the covers of the F-150 Raptor R in the US overnight.

The new ute offers amazing performance and good muscle appearance.

Australians may be familiar with the super popular Ranger Raptor, but the new F-150 version takes high-performance utes to another level.

Ford Performance chief engineer Carl Widmann said the Raptor R was the best performance.

“When customers experience Raptor R in the desert and beyond, it will make the hairs on the back of their neck stand up, and they will love it every second,” Widmann said.

It has a monstrous 5.2-liter supercharged V8 petrol engine that makes 522 kW and 868 Nm. This is about three times the output of a Toyota HiLux and rivals the high-end machines from Ferrari and McLaren.

As with the Ranger Raptor, the F-150 is designed to dominate difficult off-road environments.

It is equipped with 37-inch all-terrain tires, four-wheel drive and the best ground clearance in its category. Upgraded Fox shock absorbers and massive coil springs provide excellent stability and off-road capability.

A number of sensors monitor the movement of the suspension and terrain to make automatic adjustments to the suspension adjustment to further minimize running and improve running.

There are several driving modes, such as Normal, Sport, Quiet and Low. These different configurations alter the steering, throttle response, suspension firmness and vehicle exhaust note.

The robust capacity of the Raptor R is backed by its hard-like appearance.

A massive grille with “FORD” stamped across it and some black bumpers and fenders strengthen its image. The orange aspects widely used on the outside and inside make the Raptor R appear.

The package is completed with Recaro sports seats wrapped in black leather and Alcantara artificial suede. There are carbon fiber inserts inside and a giant 12-inch touch screen.

Ford Australia has pledged to bring down the normal F-150 by 2023. It will import vehicles from the US and turn them into right-hand drive in Melbourne.

If the normal F-150 is a success, it will open the door to get high-demand variants like the F-150 Raptor and the electric F-150 Lightning in Australia, according to local chief Andrew Birkic.

Meanwhile, Australians looking for a high-performance monster can buy the TRX Ram.

The TRX is based on the Ram 1500 and is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 Hemi that produces 523 kW and 882 Nm.

It also has a Baja atmosphere inspired by the desert rally and lots of luxury kits inside.

The TRX RAM starts at $ 199,950 plus on-road costs, making its price over $ 200,000.
