The Liberal Democrats created a separate website to promote Richard Foord, their candidate for Tiverton and Honiton, but they have not done the same with Jamie Needle, who represents them in Wakefield.
A “Help Us Win in Devon” fundraiser also ranks high on the Liberal Democrats’ website, but there was no sign of an equivalent fundraiser for the Wakefield campaign.
A Conservative source said: “Keir Starmer and Ed Davey have entered into this gross rejection agreement without consulting any of its members or MPs. They are for all intents and purposes the same party that now favors open borders, gender policy. extreme and have a general policy of contempt for Britain.
“At least they should have the honesty to clarify this agreement, but no one expects them to do the decent thing. After all, they are the same people who spent four years trying to subvert democracy.”
Hundreds of Labor and Liberal Democrat candidates ran without opposition from the other party in dozens of Conservative councils targeting last month’s local elections.
The leaked Conservative analysis showed that Sir Keir’s party had fewer candidates than in May 2018, although both parties have denied allegations of joining forces.
