Amazon Prime Day 2022 is characteristic of sales of PC gaming hardware. But what if you don’t have the Amazon Prime subscription you need to participate, or if you just don’t like Amazon? The new peripherals / monitors / SSDs / other cheap gubbins may still be yours, as many other retailers are making sales this week to give Prime Day a good competition. In some cases, they will even have the same kit as Amazon but at equal or even better prices. So this list, which brings together all the best anti-Prime Day deals I’ve found.
Since Prime Day has a technical duration of two days, July 12th and July 13th, I will also highlight ten of the most chosen deals for each day at the top of this page. Here are a few monitors that make this golden combination of sharp 1440p resolution, high refresh rate and variable refresh rate support. But I wouldn’t blame you for turning your head with the Asus ROG Swift PG32UQX – yes, it’s expensive even with a £ 100 discount, but its HDR-enhanced Mini LED backlight makes it one of the best monitors of games.

A familiar look at the list of best RPS gaming keyboards, the Logitech G915 Lightspeed Wireless, is on sale in the UK for Currys. The truth is that Amazon’s Prime Day discount is better, but it’s still a very nice price on a modern classic. In the United States, you can get the Roccat Pyro, which is already one of the best value mechanical keyboards, for even less.

The best deals on gaming headphones
These headset deals cover the usual suspects, though it’s a nice surprise to see that HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless gets such a deep price reduction so soon after launch. In fact, I’ve been using it as a main headset since May, and since I don’t have to charge it once, I’d say HyperX’s claim of a 300-hour battery isn’t far from reality.

Even the best graphics cards have been falling in price, although we have not yet returned to total normalcy. However, some retailers are using Prime Day to give a small boost to their GPU stock towards affordable levels.

If Amazon has a weakness in Prime Day, it’s the CPUs: rival retailers seem much better at lowering the prices of the latest processors. That’s not to say there are a lot of options to choose from, but hey, anything that makes the Intel Core i9-12900KS less expensive is a good thing in my head.

Look outside of Amazon and you will find good deals on DDR4 and DDR5 RAM alike. Remember to check what type your motherboard supports, as a mobo’s DDR5 slots don’t support DDR4 (and vice versa).

What is Prime Day and why do you need an “anti”?
Prime Day is Amazon’s good annual offering. Not unlike Black Friday, but specific to Amazon, it’s a time when all sorts of products, including PC gaming hardware, are seeing big discounts. This usually makes it a good time to upgrade your computer components or peripherals, in case you like them.
The problems are twofold: first, Amazon Prime Day deals are only available to those who have an Amazon Prime subscription (or who use the free 30-day trial). Two, not everyone will want to buy specifically on Amazon, especially when alternatives are available. Offers managed by rival retailers, often in direct competition with Prime Day, can offer these alternatives, so they are good deals against Prime Day for those who prefer to spend their money elsewhere.
When is Prime Day 2022?
Basically, July 12th and 13th. Yes, it’s two days. Non-Amazon deals listed above may start earlier or end later, but since the idea behind many of them will be to directly challenge Prime Day, it is reasonable for their best prices to arrive in the same two-day period. .

Do anti-Prime Day deals always match those of Amazon?
You can expect Amazon to have lower prices on certain items, as well as some that may not be on sale from other retailers. That said, it goes both ways, and sometimes non-Amazon sellers will have exclusive hardware deals or match Amazon’s Prime Day price on a particular product. If you’re very lucky, the non-Amazon price may even be lower.
