When it comes to weight loss and muscle building, new research suggests that the best time to exercise varies between men and women.
It turns out that working at different times, to get specific results, could benefit more from your efforts.
U.S. researchers conducted a 12-week study to find the ideal time of day to “dodge” to determine the differences in how men and women respond to exercise.
The results show that women who want to burn belly fat and lower blood pressure should exercise in the morning.
Things like hormones, sleep cycles and other biological differences may indicate why there seems to be a gender difference, the Mirror reported.

A study by Skidmore College in New York showed that people, especially women, can benefit more from exercising in the morning than in the evening, which is best for men.
The research included 30 participating men and 26 women, all healthy and aged 25 to 55 years.
One group exercised for an hour before 8:30 p.m. The other group did the same activities between 6pm and 8pm and they all followed a special diet.
The study’s lead author, Dr Paul Arcerio, a professor of health and human physiology at Skidmore College, told the BBC that people “have more opportunities to benefit” from early exercise.
Their findings indicated that a morning program was especially beneficial for women who wanted to reduce belly fat and blood pressure, but found that they were better off trying to build muscle in the evening.
It was also said that night exercise was better for a woman’s mood.
For men, night workouts are beneficial for heart health and also for mood.
Dr. Arcerio said: “[Evening exercise is] ideal for men interested in improving heart and metabolic health as well as emotional well-being. “
The time of day that men did seemed to have the least impact on them.
The program was aimed at healthy people, but could be applied to those who are overweight in the future.

Does it matter what time of day you exercise?
Regular exercise and a balanced diet are still good for your health, although some research indicates that exercising at a certain time helps you lose more weight.
So while morning exercise may be better for women, any exercise in general is good for your health and better than doing nothing.
Dr. Arcerio said, “The best time to exercise is the best time to do it and fit in with your schedule.”
The study was published in the journal Frontiers in Physiology.
