What do you get when you merge a high-performance beast with a family tour? The answer lies in the new addition to the BMW M series. The German carmaker has recently unveiled its first M3 Touring. Arriving amid the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the M series, the BMW M3 Touring has the best of both worlds. Strong performance combined with superior comfort is the best way to describe the latest entrant in the M series. The car is much wider, much heavier and lower than the standard M3 Wagon.

The BMW M3 Touring follows in the footsteps of its brothers M4 and M3 in terms of curves and the edges of the exteriors. It has a huge grille sandwiched between two stretched headlights. The car has sleek aerodynamic ORVM and sporty exhaust pipes.

When you get in the car, you’re greeted by a state-of-the-art 12.3-inch digital instrument panel with an integrated curved screen. In addition, there is a 14.9-inch infotainment system with connected technology and cutting-edge features. The car has the support of the latest iDrive operating system. Palpable features include a sports steering wheel and leather-wrapped seat upholstery, among other M-Series custom equipment.

As for the elements that contribute to the performance of the BMW M3 Touring, the car will run on a 3-liter, bi-turbo and six-cylinder engine capable of producing a maximum power of 503 hp and a maximum torque of 650 Nm. The drive train distributes power to all four tires. The front wheels of the car measure 19 inches, while the rear wheels measure 20 inches.

All settings are combined with a standard 8-speed automatic transmission that helps the car zoom from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.6 seconds. BMW claims that the vehicle can touch a maximum of 280 km / h. The company plans to launch the vehicle in the European car market in September this year.

BMW has made no announcement of the launch of the M3 Touring in India soon.
