If you’re tired of AAA open world games, Evil West looks like it might be the perfect tonic. A third-person linear action game from Focus Entertainment has a God of War-like combat system, except to replace the Leviathan Ax with cowboy weapons. And then he throws vampires into the mix. Released for PS5 and PS4 on September 20, 2022, a long look at the game makes us want more.
The 10-minute clip takes us through a number of different locations, including a classic, directly defeated city from the cowboy era and a dark forest. There seems to be a variety of weapons on offer, but you can also get up close and personal with some melee moves. You can then cast skills to shoot down enemies in style. We especially like the look of the final moves – they are full of gore and style.
With September seemingly a bit quiet for PS5 and PS4 releases, Evil West may be one of those on your wish list. That is, show and show all the right things before the release, at least.
