This morning’s Bethesda Xbox + Showcase has served to highlight the first game looks for many games coming to the platform and Xbox Game Pass. The team chose to close the window with one of the most anticipated matches of their formation, Starfield.
Originally thought to be released in December, Starfield recently met next year to allow the team a chance to polish its first new IP in decades.
Based on the gameplay shown in the trailer, Starfield looks a lot like Fallout and is reminiscent of other Bethesda Games Studios products. As expected, there is resource mining and the game can be played from first and third person perspectives.
Based on these early aspects, the gun game looks surprisingly solid as a rock, while launching with your jetpack looks like a ball. It really seems like Starfield’s reach is huge, both in terms of gameplay and story, so seeing so much gameplay and making it look so awesome is a relief.
We also took a look at the game’s character creator, while Todd Howard confirmed that players will be able to completely build their own spaceship that can be flown. You better attach a decent cannon to this thing too, because there are dog fights in outer space at Starfield, which seems absolutely insane. And to say that Starfield is a great game is an understatement with over a thousand planets in various systems where you can land and explore freely.
Starfield will be released exclusively for Xbox Series X / S and PC in 2023.
