The first trailer for Strange World, Disney’s upcoming animated feature, looks like a paperback novel that came to life.
It’s as beautiful as it is weird, with sticky aliens, hiking mountains, and many more sci-fi rarities. Disney describes it as a story that “travels to the depths of an unexplored and treacherous land where fantastic creatures await the legendary Clades, a family of explorers whose differences threaten to overthrow their last and, by far, their most crucial mission “. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal and also has some notable names at the helm, such as director Don Hall (Big Hero 6, Raya and the Last Dragon) and co-director and writer Qui Nguyen (Raya).
Strange World will be released on November 23, although it is unclear at this time whether it will be a movie release or whether it will debut at Disney Plus. In the meantime, if the trailer didn’t give you enough sci-fi vibes, check out the poster below.
