The former Pokémon art director reveals ‘Plucky Squire’, the first game in his new studio

Yesterday, Pokémon artist James Turner, better known as the art director of Pokémon Sword & Shield, announced that he had moved from Game Freak to form a new gaming studio with his old friend (@onebitbeyond ), known as All Possible Futures. .

At the time, Turner mocked the studio’s first game, stating how a revelation would be made “very soon” and, of course, that game has now been revealed during Devolver Digital’s latest presentation. Introducing The Plucky Squire: Launch on all platforms, including the Switch in 2023.

He follows the magical adventures of Jot and his friends: story characters who discover that there is a three-dimensional world beyond the pages of his book when the evil one expels them. Players will jump between 2D and 3D worlds in this action adventure as they solve puzzles, box badgers and even fly with a jetpack.
