What you need to know
- It looks like a lot of real-world photos show Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 4.
- The leaked images reveal some significant improvements over the previous model, especially in the display and battery departments.
- Samsung’s next-generation folding case also looks a lot like its predecessor.
Lots of live footage has revealed what appears to be Samsung’s next Galaxy Z Flip 4 in all its glory, and confirm previous rumors, including that the phone’s screen may have an almost non-existent fold.
Samsung’s next-generation folding phone appeared earlier through a lot of leaked representations, and the latest leak seems to corroborate these images. Courtesy of TechTalkTV (opens in a new tab), real-world photos offer our best look to date to the successor to the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
One particular improvement that stands out is the smoother screen compared to the previous model. This suggests that Samsung is addressing one of the drawbacks of the Flip 3: the fold of the screen. It’s not the first time we’ve heard this, as the tipster Ice universe revealed the same potential design improvement earlier this month.
“The fold of the Flip 4 is much deeper than that of the Flip 3, and I think most people will be satisfied,” the informant recently tweeted (opens in a new tab).
The new leak also reveals a slightly larger cover screen to Samsung’s next competitor for the best folding phones. In addition, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 seems to have a thinner hinge than its predecessor. That said, a small space between the two sides of the phone remains visible when folded.

Aside from these changes, there isn’t much difference between the next phone and its predecessor in terms of overall design. It has the same metallic frame, number of camera lenses, and a piercing cut for the snapper selfie as the Flip 3. It will most likely be shipped with a two-tone color scheme. You can see some more details in the video below.
The cameras also don’t seem to have changed. Citing an unnamed source, TechTalkTV says the Flip 4’s cameras will feature the same 12 MP main sensor and 12 MP ultra-large camera, along with a 10 MP selfie shutter.
However, we can expect some updates in the battery department. According to the source, the Flip 4 will have a larger battery of 3,700 mAh and a faster cable charging speed of 25 W compared to the 3,300 mAh battery and the fast charging of 15 W of the Flip 3. This is consistent with the above rumors.
The Flip 4 is expected to be released in August, and we’ll probably hear more rumors and leaks before its release.
