In a statement, Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust said: “Ade joined the DBTH team in 2019 and was a much-loved and respected member of the Rehab 1 team at Montagu Hospital. An intern in nursing, she always put her patients first and typed everything good about the NHS.

“We have no doubt that he would have had a long and fruitful career in the Trust, making a difference for many. His colleagues describe Ade as a heart of gold and someone with whom it was a pleasure to work and with whom he could ยท Light a room.

“They say that Ade has always shown unlimited compassion when dealing with people, and has been a confidant and friend to many. In short, he will be missed by all those who to know, but they will always remember him “.

An online fundraiser was set up to support her family and help cover funeral expenses, with friends pledging to walk to Snowdon in her memory.

Richard Reasbeck, who created the crowdfunding page, said: “Anyone who met Ade knows that this has always been the life of the party, someone who said it as it was and was not afraid. We will do this walk in honor of a amazing man who we know would like us to take this walk for him.

“Ade loved being a daring spontaneous and always had everyone laughing when she was in his company (sic). Another amazing person brought in very soon. He was an amazing friend, partner, son and brother and will never be forgotten.”

The exact date of the walk will be determined once the numbers are set, Richard said.
