The free PlayStation Plus games of June 2022 have been mocked early on by a Spanish website.
Areajugones states that the games that will be given away to subscribers are:
- God of War (2018)
- Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker
- Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
PlayStation Plus monthly free games are usually leaked by Deallabs member billbil-kun, but this month they said they would not reveal the June games until May 31st.
However, they did warn that users should not “buy games for children (or teenagers) or ultra-popular games”, which is in line with Areajugones’ claims.
If the report is true, then the addition of God of War will primarily benefit PlayStation 4 owners, because the game is already included as part of the PS Plus collection, a selection of PS4 games that owners of PS5 can claim.
Sony has not given any indication that the PS Plus collection will end soon.
May PlayStation Plus games can still be claimed until June 7th. These are:
- FIFA 22
- The curse of the dead gods
- Tribes of Midgard
PlayStation Plus free games will continue to be offered every month after the service is reviewed in June, Sony has confirmed.
Sony’s new PlayStation Plus structure will be released for PS4 and PS5 in Japan on June 2, North and South America on June 13, and Australia, New Zealand and Europe on June 23. It will be structured in three payment levels: Essentials, Extra and Premium.
The Essentials level will offer the same benefits as the current PS Plus service, including “free” PS4 and PS5 games every month, online multiplayer access, and PS Store discounts.
The Extra level adds access to a catalog of PS4 and PS5 games, which can be downloaded similarly to Xbox Game Pass.
Finally, the Premium level adds a selection of PS1, PS2 and PSP games to download and PS3 games by streaming to the cloud.
