KAMBOSOS “CONFIDENT” WAS NOT STRESSING WEIGHT
There was a big drama on Saturday when Kambosos initially lost weight and had to return an hour later to make the title fight official.
It was the first time in his career that he had lost weight and it was a surprise that Fox Sports News journalist Cody Kaye revealed that the Australian had not cared too much about gaining weight, even with a great dinner friday night.
“It was definitely a surprise to get into what is the biggest struggle of his career,” Kaye said Sunday.
“It was pretty easy for George (to gain weight the second time. He ‘s pretty much aware that he just went and had a big flat, came back and went down half a pound.
“I don’t know what effect it will have on him. I’m pretty sure this is at its best and if George really had to fight to lose that little bit of weight, it could have an impact.
“There may not be much energy in the tank, but I would be very surprised if that was the case.
“It simply came to our notice then. He said he had had two barramundi fillets the night before the weight, so he certainly wasn’t too stressed about having to lose weight. “
