It’s officially Memorial Day weekend. It’s time to get the grill up and running, throw some drinks in the fridge and get ready for some deals. We’ve been covering discounts and discounts for Memorial Day all week, and we’ve got some new ones for your Saturday.
First, Apple’s latest iPad Air with 256GB of expanded storage has dropped to $ 679 on Amazon. This $ 70 discount is the best price in over a month for this setup. If you don’t think you need extra storage, the 64GB model is $ 569.99 (about $ 30 off) on Amazon and Walmart. Although 256 GB helps you make sure you don’t run out of space too quickly.
This latest generation of the iPad Air is very similar to the previous model of 2020, but it has been given a great increase in performance by borrowing the same M1 processor from the iPad Pro and MacBooks. The Air is fast, has a long battery life, and its 10.9-inch screen looks great. While it shares the same CPU as the more expensive iPad Pro, it uses built-in Touch ID on its side button instead of Face ID and has no ProMotion for smoother scrolling. However, this discount helps to further separate the 256GB Air from the basic 128GB iPad Pro, which typically costs $ 799, making it the best value for most people. Read our review.
iPad Air 2022 (Wi-Fi)
The latest iPad Air retains the redesign of the iPad Pro of the 2020 model, but eliminates the A14 Bionic processor in favor of Apple’s M1 chip. It also comes in one of five colors and features a 12 MP front camera with support for Apple’s Center Stage feature.
Miraculously, if you want to buy an Xbox Series X console, you have several options right now. You can get one from Costco or directly from Microsoft, or if you’re lucky, you might have one at your local Best Buy, but these aren’t offered. The deal of the day for the Xbox family right now is that Antonline offers a free additional driver of your choice with the purchase of an Xbox Series S for $ 299.99. This is the usual retail price of the small console and you get an additional gamepad valued at up to $ 69.99 for free.
The Xbox Series S is a great little console if you don’t mind a digital-only box that reaches a resolution of 2560 x 1440 QHD. Sure, it has a bit of storage, with 512GB built-in, but it’s perfect for Xbox Game Pass and game playback. Plus, with this offer, you can choose from black, white, red, blue, and yellow-green drivers, even the special 20th anniversary edition translucent in smoky black (which is the right choice, by the way). This offer runs until June 7 or until it runs out. Read our review.
Xbox Series S with Free Additional Driver
The Xbox Series S is smaller than the 4K-compatible Xbox Series X, but it can still handle the same digital games, albeit with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440. Antonine’s offer of the console with an additional driver Free saves between $ 59.99 and $ 69.99, depending on your chosen gamepad.
If you don’t want to wait until July for Google’s next Pixel 6A and you’re a T-Mobile or Sprint customer, you can get the Pixel 6 or the Pixel 6 Pro for a $ 150 discount on Best Buy with an activation. This offer lowers the price of the Pixel 6 to $ 459.99, the same as the budgeted 6A, and the Pixel 6 Pro is now $ 749.99. Both offers require T-Mobile or Sprint activation, but choose to pay in advance or in monthly installments.
While the Pixel 6 brothers have had some troubled waters with software updates, they still have some of the best cameras on a smartphone, and arguably some of the best Android phones around. The Pixel 6A will borrow the Google Tensor CPU when it comes out in the summer, but the enhanced cameras remain exclusive to the premium Pixels. Read our review.
Google Pixel 6
The Google Pixel 6 is the new base model of Google’s latest flagship. It has the Google Tensor CPU, 8 GB of RAM and a rear camera with 50 megapixels for its main wide angle and 12 megapixels for its ultra wide.
Google Pixel 6 Pro
The Google Pixel 6 Pro is the big brother of the new Pixel duo, with a 6.7-inch screen, 12GB of RAM and a third camera with a 4x telephoto lens and 48 megapixel resolution.
The Lenovo Chromebook Duet has maintained its status as one of our favorite cheap Chromebooks, although in late 2021, a newer model came out with a higher price that led to some compromises. This new model is the Chromebook Duet 5, which was a little sleeker with a 13.3-inch OLED touchscreen and a new price tag of about $ 500. The screen is great, the keyboard connection is very good again and the battery life is long. But it’s a slightly different game when it costs $ 200 more than its predecessor.
Now you can get the much more respectable Lenovo Chromebook Duet 5 for $ 379 at Best Buy. This $ 120 discount for the model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB SSD makes it much easier to overlook some of its flaws, such as the lack of biometric authentication and no pen included. The money saved always makes things look better, right? Read our review.
