The M5 is closed after a collision blocked the road. The incident happened on the southbound road between junction 27 and 28, near Willand, around 12:30 p.m., and police say the road is closed to allow an air ambulance to land.
A Google travel map shows slow southbound traffic. There are delays on the way back to Tiverton junction 27.
The Inrix Travel Information Service says: “A closed lane and slow traffic due to an accident on the M5 heading south from J27 A361 (Tiverton) to J28 A373 Honiton Road (Cullompton / Service Area) . “

There were previous reports of a collision at the entrance to Tiverton junction 27, but it has now been cleared.
