The southbound M6 closed tonight after a serious vehicle accident. The highway is expected to be closed for several hours.
The southbound road is closed between J4a (Coleshill) and J3 for Coventry. The road linking the M42 to the M6 is also closed.
National Highways West Midlands confirmed that the highway had been closed at intersections. It comes after traffic stopped around 9 p.m.
Traffic officers are at the scene along with colleagues from the West Midlands Ambulance Service and the West Midlands Fire Department. An air ambulance has also been seen in the area, according to reports.
