An out-of-service supermarket worker who was hit by a branch of a tree that falls while taking a nap in a park in Leederville says he will ask Vincent City Council for compensation.
Grant Dowding, 42, had stopped working at the nearby IGA when he was kicked in a Britannia Reserve bank last Thursday.
The graphic photographs show the huge wound on Mr. Dowding’s head. It took 10 staples to re-sew his head.
“I was unlucky to pick this bank, lucky to survive,” he said.

Surprisingly, Mr. Dowding managed to walk up to the doctor.
“To be honest, I’ve had stronger blows to the head,” he said.
Dowding is now seeking compensation from Vincent City Council for damage to his $ 5,000 electric bicycle during the incident.
