With so many prospects coming out of the NCAA, it’s important to remember the strict rules set for potential customers to maintain their amateur status. Any violation of the rules and players could lose that status and end their NCAA eligibility. Here are some quick points about the rules:

  • First-time camp attendees can receive food and lodging paid for by the team during the first 48 hours after their arrival at camp. If they want to stay after 48 hours they have to pay everything their way.
  • Returning players will have to look for their own food and accommodation during the development camp.
  • Players must pay for their own round-trip transportation.
  • Players may not store any material items such as ball caps and T-shirts after camp. They must return it to the team or donate it to a charity.
  • No classes can be missed, so players who are enrolled in summer classes cannot attend the development field.
  • Some players choose to leave after 48 hours to keep costs low and not risk breaking the rules.
