Finally, a Sonic Frontiers trailer that people don’t hate!
The Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase of June 2022, in my personal opinion, shook and ruled. It was really full of good news, news we already knew, and news that pleasantly surprised everyone.
While I’m sure many would have liked a Nintendo showcase, this one gave us a lot to get excited about, including Sonic Frontiers, a game that people were asking SEGA to delay the release at some point.
The new Sonic Frontiers trailer that Nintendo decided to show was definitely great.
This Sonic Frontiers trailer differs from the last two trailers in many ways. In fact, we see a fast-paced, action-packed game, the area seems fuller, and more unanswered mysteries are revealed. It is great.
On top of all that, remember how we saw that data mine for potential Sonic Frontiers content? You know, the one where Big the Cat could go back?
Well, this latest trailer revealed Cyber Space, which was less in space and even more so cyberspace, if you know what I mean. Cyber Space strings appeared in the data mine, so it is very likely that the other strings are related to the content of Sonic Frontiers.
Comments on the latest Sonic Frontiers trailer on Nintendo’s YouTube channel also seem to echo similar sentiments.
While the first two trailers and Sonic Frontiers gameplay footage were definitely a bit disappointing, I certainly feel like there’s a lot more to it than meets the eye with this game. If Sega decides to market Sonic Frontiers more like this in the future, I think there could definitely be a lot more fanfare.
Honestly, despite thinking that Sonic seemed a little out of place in this world at first, I remained optimistic about the final product of Sonic Frontiers. I’m excited, I tremble with my boots, I feel like hell. I don’t know what will happen with that, but I like what I’m seeing so far.
