Elden Ring finally launched just a few months ago, topping the charts since then, but FromSoftware doesn’t seem to be slowing down. The Dark Souls studio is already hiring for “multiple” new games, and director Hidetaka Miyazaki reports in a new interview that one of them is about to end.
Today, FromSoftware tweeted a link to a new hiring site with lots of job listings, saying the company was hiring staff for a wide range of positions on several new projects. The art of tweeting included not only representations of Sekiro, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls, but also the mech shooter Armored Core, one of the studio’s much-loved but dormant franchises. Meanwhile, the job listing page included more than a dozen sites ranging from game design and art to programming and development support.

It’s hardly uncommon for gaming companies to recruit on social media, but given FromSoftware’s status and Elden Ring’s widespread success, fans have been eager to know what the studio will focus on next. The hiring plan also came alongside a new 4Gamer interview with Miyazaki, in which the director of Elden Ring said he is already working on his next game and that a project not yet announced in the studio it is already in the final stages of development.
While Miyazaki did not hint at what these games are, fans have long been waiting for FromSoftware to return to Armored Core, which has not seen any new entries since 2013. Miyazaki promised since 2016 that a new mech game. would arrive sometime, and it is rumored that an Armored Core 6 has been in development since 2017. This year is also the 25th anniversary of the series, and it looks like the game’s images were leaked in January.
Fans have also been eager for a sequel to the exclusive PS4 Bloodborne. While a Bloodborne 2 is clearly the most important to many, rumors have circulated about a possible remastering of the game for PS5 in the line of the 2020 Demon’s Souls Remake. Last month, a fake Twitter account was made going through Twitter game superuser Nibellion briefly convinced everyone that a Bloodborne remaster had been announced.
Of course, there’s always the possibility that Miyazaki and the rest of the studio’s newer projects are completely new games. The company’s hiring tweet also contained art for Déraciné, a 2018 adventure game released for PlayStation VR. Given Sony’s big push behind the upcoming PS VR 2 headphones, it wouldn’t be surprising if FromSoftware was recruiting to make another exclusive for the new platform.
