Details of the open beta of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 have been revealed before an official announcement.
A trailer for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 leaked online today ahead of a major revelation scheduled for Tuesday later.
A slightly higher quality version of the same leaked trailer (below) has found its way online via Twitter user @ JamieEvans_23, including additional PlayStation marketing at the end of the announcement promoting the open beta of the game.
UPDATE: The official version of the trailer, which can be seen below, has now been released as part of a larger revelation of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.

PS4 and PS5 pre-order customers will receive their first access to the open beta of Modern Warfare 2.

Activision recently confirmed that the release date of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is October 28, 2022.
Following the announcement, several editions of Modern Warfare 2 were apparently leaked, pre-order bonuses and beta details via a Call of Duty Vanguard update.
While unofficial, datamined files suggest that Activision plans to release three editions of the game, each offering early access to an open beta for PlayStation gamers when they book.
They are Modern Warfare 2 Standard Edition, Cross-Gen Bundle and Vault Edition. The most expensive edition is also said to include the following:
- Battle pass (1 season) + 50 level jumps
- Red team operators package: Ghost, Soap, Price, Farah
- FJX Cinder Weapon Vault
- 10 hours 2XP and 10 hours 2WXP
- Ghost Legacy Package: 12 operator aspects and 10 weapon plans
Sony and Activision have a long-standing Call of Duty marketing agreement that has seen PlayStation owners receive a variety of exclusive content in recent years, including game packages, exclusive game modes, and early access to public testing. .
