Citizens have been asked not to approach a Scotsman who has been missing for almost two weeks.

James Clacher, of Bellshill, Lanarkshire, was last seen in Airdrie around 4pm on Monday 30 May.

He is an amateur walker who regularly travels long distances and is believed to have traveled the Tyndrum area.

The car of the 53-year-old man, a Suzuki Swift, has been located in the parking lot of Loch Long in Arrochar, Argyll and Bute, since his disappearance.

Scottish police said earlier that she was “extremely concerned” about James’ welfare.

They added that it was “completely safe” for him not to be in contact with his family and friends.

On Tuesday, June 7, a week after James was reported missing, 90 people spoke to both Tyndrum and Arrochar.

Now, agents are asking citizens not to approach him if they meet him and get in touch with them.

James has been described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, athletic and bald.

He is believed to have been wearing gray cargo-style trousers with a black jacket or poncho, a black hat, and black sneakers when he was last seen.
