The RCMP said there was a stabbing earlier this month in front of Mitchell Middle School.
Steinbach’s RCMP was notified on June 8 at 10:55 p.m.
Police say it looks like an 18-year-old Mitchell man threw himself at a 23-year-old Mitchell man with a knife. The injuries are unknown, although police say they were not life-threatening.
According to police, the two men probably knew each other and there were several witnesses. Police have confiscated the weapon.
Charges are pending against the 18-year-old.
The RCMP continues to investigate.
