The famous RAF planes roared over the Humber in nearby formation, to the delight of thousands of people concentrated on the promenade. While not uncommon in the Lincolnshire skies, it was a rare opportunity to see the Red Arrows doing their spectacular routine.
The performance followed a series of passes with historic planes. They include a Spitfire and a hurricane from the Battle of Britain memorial flight, although the Lancaster bomber was unable to join due to crosswinds.
