The long-awaited release date of God Of War Ragnarök has finally been confirmed by Sony. The sequel to the Santa Monica Studio parent-sim will be released on November 9 this year.
In a tweet sent from Sony’s official account, the release date was set, along with a link to more information, confirming the game’s release for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
“We’re thrilled to be able to share our release date and the new God of War Ragnarök: Father and Son CG Trailer,” says the statement from Santa Monica Studio, which describes God of War fans as “looking forward to news.”
This, of course, is underestimating the reality of the situation, where developers have been receiving unsettling harassment from these “fans,” including sending genital photographs.

The game’s film producer, Estelle Tigani, had to tweet a request for people to stop doing these things last week after individuals somehow believed that doing so could force a release date announcement.
Today’s news is accompanied by a new CG trailer for the game, which of course does not represent how it will really look, but it tastes good.

This is somehow confirmed by a Bloomberg report last month, which suggested that rumors that the game would fall by 2023 were false and that it would arrive in November 2022.
It’s really extraordinary that just the release date of a game can generate so much attention and noise, especially considering how unreliable these dates are almost always. Clearly Sony is quite convinced by this, having waited so long to be sure, but who knows what may happen over the next four months. Slips are still extremely possible.
For those who have not yet learned the lesson that you will never, ever have to book games, this can be done from July 15th. The PlayStation blog hosts the following video of a “unpacking” game, along with game details. increasingly expensive ways to buy it.

So here we are. Four months of waiting, unless something goes wrong.
