FX On Hulu has shared the trailer for the second season of Reservation Dogs, the acclaimed comedy by Taika Waititi and Sterlin Harjo about four Native American teenagers suffering the death of their mutual friend. (Yes, despite that description, it’s still a lot of fun.)

After the first season ended with Elora (Devery Jacobs) leaving her friends and the reservation to drive to California with former rival Jackie (Elva War), things continue to change in Oklahoma. Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis) is trying to break a “white magician’s curse”, Bear (D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai) has a new job as a construction worker and, along with Cheese (Lane Factor), everyone fights against the uncomfortable. questions about her love life. Of course, there is the hilarity.
While many other shows would keep the road trip off-screen and reunite with the band, it looks like Reservation Dogs will have a good time with Elora and Jackie’s journey. Going to California is certainly not the dream they were hoping for, as the girls find themselves trapped in car problems and chased down the road at gunpoint. (Don’t worry, the trailer still promises an emotional reunion when Elora returns with her friends.)
Returning supporting characters include Dallas Goldtooth’s favorite warrior spirit, Jana Schmieding as India’s Health Service administrator, Bobby Lee as a backup doctor, Wes Studi’s Bucky and Lil Mike and Funny Bone as Mose in Mecca. The first season’s Flaming Flamers tokens also continue around here, adding to the specificity of the Reservation Dogs world. As confirmed by Deadline, newcomers to the show include Megan Mullally and Marc Maron.
The second season of Reservation Dogs premieres on Hulu on August 3rd. The first season is playing now.
